Hi all,

Does anyone know how to set a transaction rate per user per hour?

Some benchmark test document from Microsoft, the transaction rate per user per hour was set such as 7 or 7.5. In the following document the transaction rate was set as about 7 because of the description "169,000 complex business transactions per hour for the 24,000 active concurrent users test":

I would like to do a benchmark test like the above benchmark test by setting the transaction rate of workload.

Best regards,
Keiji

Hi Keiji,
The transaction rate was a consequence of the userload but not the driver that set the load on that test you were pointing to. That test was done in the same way as done in the loadtests attached to the toolkit. The load they specified was of course different with a different test mix.
So the way to drive the load is by adjusting the virtual user load and the thinktime between the tests to get the desired transaction load that you want.
Thanks,
Aditya.

Hi Aditya,

Thank you for providing the reply.
I understood the transaction rate was a consequence of the userload.

Thank you,
